Being a family photographer in the San Francisco Bay area is one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done in my life. After moving to San Francisco in late 2023 I have completed over 400 photo shoots to date and I have had some amazing opportunities. For most people that sounds like a lot of work but for me, it's just another day with 1 to 3 photo shoots.

I have to laugh as I look at the photo posted with this blog. The man on the right hand side of the photo is not following my thumb rule. The sun rule is when you have a hand in the pocket you either see the thumb sticking out or you have the thumb in the pocket with the rest of the hand hanging out of the pocket. This is a prime example of why the thumb rule is in place because it doesn't look like this man actually has a hand at all.

The nice family above hired me to do photos on Christmas day 2023 and we ended up with some wonderful photos. As I continue to post on my blog about family photos and other genre of photography, I will leave out the names of the people in the photo mostly because I don't remember peoples names easily. Secondly, I don't think it's important to post the names of my clients to the entire Internet.

When it comes to set up in posing large groups of photos, there's usually somebody amongst the group that assists in the set up for the placement of the people for the group photo. Photography for me is a team effort. Everybody hast to play a part and have the help you help me attitude. I am there to make sure everybody looks good, but generally speaking everyone in front of the camera actually knows how to pose they just have little to no experience and also don't have an experienced photographer to make them feel confident.

Confidence is captured in my photos even with awkward people. I find the times I am an awkward person myself, so I understand what it's like to be in front of the camera. Having this experience allows me to make the little kids smile in front of the camera. I can usually get the teenagers to smile too! Having the look of confidence is mostly about posture, even though you may not feel confident, we can pose the body to make you look confident and look like you're having fun. If we're having fun, you're gonna look confident and we are definitely gonna have fun!

Family photo shoots don't typically last very long. If you have hired me through the app for a two hour session and it only lasts 20 minutes, because you have a two year old and a rambunctious five year old, this is why I offer mini sessions. My mini photo sessions are 30 minutes long and or a good value because My mini photo sessions are 30 minutes long and a good value because you are not paying for unused time.

Almost everything in photography is a "you get what you pay for" situation. The equipment that I use is very expensive and I end up with very good results because of its quality. Because of my extensive experience in all genre of photography, I can nearly guarantee, excellent quality photos of almost anyone on the planet. Having this confidence allows me to Capture the moment while still remaining upbeat so that everyone is still having fun. The more fun we have a photo shoot the photos will be so much better!
